Golf Hotel Castlerock - 24th Sep 2004

If location is everything when you're buying a house then it's at least as important when you're choosing a hotel.

Nowhere is this more the case than with the Golf Hotel. Set amid the spectacular scenery of the North Antrim coast, in the pretty seaside village of Castlerock, it is close to a host of natural attractions, leisure activities and some of the best golf in Ireland.

Guests will find the accent is on comfort, relaxation and hospitality at this friendly hotel just recently taken over by the McLaughlin family.

There are fifteen comfortable bedrooms each of which has the full range of modern facilities to be expected in a hotel of this standard.

There is a cosy welcoming bar, a sun terrace where you can enjoy those long summer evenings and a restaurant serving up a mouth watering selection of the wonderful natural produce to be found in the area.

On the menu you can find everything from the fabulous fish caught daily in nearby waters, to locally grazed lamb and field fresh vegetables.

It's not by accident that this hotel is called The Golf because this is a golfer's paradise.

There are several championship courses within half an hour's drive, including the world famous links course at Royal Portrush, as well as Portstewart and Castlerock, just a stone's throw from the hotel.

Golfing in this part of the world is designed to challenge, inspire and frustrate, sometimes in equal measures, but the stunning beauty of the Causeway coastline more than compensates your efforts.

Also nearby is the Lough Foyle ferry which makes courses like Ballyliffen in Donegal highly accessible and ensures a great variety of golf to be enjoyed throughout your stay.
