A Golfers Retreat at The Malin Hotel - 16th Mar 2006
Welcome to the Malin Hotel.
The Malin Hotel is founded on a simple philosophy of beauty, quality and attention to detail.
The elegance of the surrounding area is breathtaking; the superiority of the accommodation and food preparation is second to none. Without doubt, the open friendliness and charm of the staff underline our attention to detail.
Golf Promotions - A Golfers Retreat
Located in the Inishowen Peninsula, 5 minutes from the two championship golf courses at Ballyliffin is the quiet and peaceful Malin Hotel.
The Hotel provides a warm and cosy retreat for the amateur, enthusiastic or serious golfer. Attention to detail is evident in our VIP Golf Programme which includes golf course booking assistance, transfers to nearby courses and a golf club cleaning service.
A dream come true
Ballyliffin golf courses have been described as the "Ballybunion of the North". Both courses have vast undulating greens, large bunkers and fairways that are as challenging as the crashing Atlantic surf.
Nick Faldo remarked on one of his many visits that the Old Links Course was the most natural that he had ever seen.
This was reinforced recently by Constintin Rocca at the recent North-West Open. The Inishowen Peninsula also has two further 18 hole golf courses at Greencastle and Fahan, which challenge even the most experienced golfer.
From Royal Portrush to Rural Ireland
Royal Portrush is one of Northern Ireland's Three "Royal" golf courses, which is overlooked by the ruins of Dunlure Castle as it juts into the Atlantic.
Royal Portrush is steeped in history and has been voted number 8 in the golf world survey of 100 greatest courses in the British Isles.Spend a day with a round of leisurely golf on the Royal Portrush followed by a 10 minute ferry trip from Magilligan point to Greencastle.
From there move onto the Jack Yeats Restaurant at the Malin Hotel for a chance to sample the art of fine food and a warm rural Irish welcome.
This is followed by an overnight stay in one of the Gentry or Countryside Rooms at the Malin Hotel to recharge your batteries for the challenge of playing the Glashedy Links the next day.
