Irish Youths Team Announced - 15th Jun 2004
The six man team selected by the Golfing Union of Ireland for the Ireland v Wales Youth match at Clandeboye Golf Club on 23rd June is:
Clancy Bowe (Tramore), Stephen Crowe (Dunmurry), Harry Diamond (Holywood), Paul O’Hanlon (Curragh), Cathal O’Malley (Westport) and Niall Turner (Muskerry).
The reserves are:
Ciaran McAleavey (Banbridge), Robert McCarthy (The Island) and Gareth Shaw (Malone)
The non-playing team captain is Michael Burns.
Ireland is unbeaten in this event since 1999 and has won seven of the 12 encounters, halving one and losing just four.
