Golf Breaks in Borders - stay at Heatherlie House Hotel - 5th Jul 2004
warm welcome awaits you from the Marshall family at this elegant Victorian Mansion House quietly situated in approximately 2 acres of wooded grounds.
The building is centrally heated and all but one of our 7 rooms offer en-suite accommodation with colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities together with direct dial telephone.
We regret that pets are not permitted in the hotel.
Meals may be served in our 'Heather' room or less formally in the lounge bar where the open fire is always an attraction.
We are pleased to be featured in the CAMRA "Good Beer Guide" 2004! and also have an interesting selection of Malts Whiskies. To compliment Florence delicious cooking our wine selection is both carefully chosen and reasonably priced.
Selkirk
Ideally situated in the heart of the Scottish Borders, Selkirk is one of the borders oldest towns and lies on the A7 and close to the A68, two of the main trunk roads linking Scotland with England. A good base from which to take advantage of the areas many amenities.
The main link with a turbulent past is the common riding which is held in June when up to 500 horsemen are saddled by daybreak to ride the marches to re-enact the story of Flodden.
The Scottish Borders

The reasons are not hard to find, beautiful scenery ranging form rugged coasts and lonely hills to peaceful cultivated farmland punctuated with charming towns and villages.
