Golspie is an ideal centre for those wishing to explore the North of Scotland. From it you can cut across scenic routes to the West Coast, travelling along many single track roads past some of the oldest hills in the world and seeing nature at its grandest. Sutherland and Caithness have been described as the last wilderness, and contain many areas of natural beauty.

A narrow strip of grass lies between the hotel and miles of gorgeous, safe sandy beach. The golf course is immediately adjacent and beyond lies the Loch Fleet nature reserve well known to Birdwatchers
