Enjoy golf at its best at Ballumbie Castle Golf Club - 5th Sep 2007

Ballumbie Castle Golf Club sits amongst the mature surroundings of Ballumbie Castle built in the 1300's.

The 150 acre estate is embedded in the local folklore and tales of marauding knights, drowned witches and heroic damsels abound with each of the 18 holes reflecting the Castle's dubious history.

There are also 4 water hazards that come into play and although the course is not long at 6,127 yards, it demands that you use every club in the bag.

After your round, you can relax on the balcony of the clubhouse and reminisce of that missed putt on the 4th green.

The course is a parkland/heathland layout and is a test for all levels of golfer.

At 6,127 yards, the course is very tight and demands accuracy on most holes. It has been described as a thinking mans course.
