Situated in the rolling countryside near Dundee, and dating back to 1855, this idyllic setting has long been a favourite location of anglers and visitors alike.

The complex consists of four fishing ponds and four luxury lodges nestling in mature surrounding woodland. At the centre is the Old Boat House Lodge (pictured right), which has been converted into the computerised reception, well stocked anglers shop and fisherman's club house.

LODGES:

At Forbes of Kingennie we have a delightful and peaceful rural woodland setting - although the main centre of Dundee is a mere 6 miles away! It makes an ideal place for basing your family holiday, whether it be for fishing, golfing, other sporting activities or just relaxing.

Our luxury self catering lodges take their names from the spectacular Angus Glens which lead into the Grampian Mountain range, north of Kingennie.

All of our self catering lodges are equipped to the highest standards and are set amidst an enchanting woodland area overlooking our three trout-fishing lochans. Located near to the Scottish East Coast, the area offers a number of visitor attractions and plenty for all the family to see and do. Nearby there are a selection of excellent restaurants and local hostelries.

SPORTS:

The countryside around Forbes of Kingennie offers enthusiasts an abundance of sporting activities in which to partake. Being on a fishery, the obvious attraction is the 1st class fishing and facilities to be found literally on your doorstep. Other immediate attractions include shooting and golf.

Water sports are also popular, with the facilities at nearby Monikie Country Park available for canoeing, windsurfing and Topper sailing.
