The Murcar Championship golf links... - 27th Nov 2004

The Murcar Championship golf links has a par of 71 and a standard scratch rating of 72 (USGA rating 71.6 and USGA slope rating 136).

It frequently features in the top 100 courses in the British Isles and over the years, has hosted many national amateur championships and professional tournaments.

Established in 1909 to the design of Archie Simpson, with later refinements made by the celebrated golf course designer James Braid (of Carnoustie and Gleneagles fame), Murcar is indeed a Championship links of some renown, in the finest of Scottish traditions.

Visitors are welcome weekdays / weekends but MEMBERS ONLY Tuesday til Noon Saturday 14:00hrs & Sunday 10:00hrs.

Societies are welcome weekdays / weekends but MEMBERS ONLY Tuesday til Noon Saturday 14:00hrs & Sunday 10:00hrs.

Club hire MUST be arranged in advance.

NO Buggy Hire, however, CADDIES OR CADDY CARS CAN BE PREBOOKED.

Trolleys - ARRANGE IN ADVANCE

MEMBERS ONLY - BUT IF YOU ARE PLAYING YOU CAN USE THE FACILITIES.

HUGE PRACTICE GROUND BUT NOT A DRIVING RANGE.

Murcar Golf Club is a member of the Aberdeen & Grampian Tourist Board, the Scottish Incoming Golf Tour Operators' Association and the International Association of Golf Tour Operators.
