Its very tight at the top – in all the competitions.

It’s not very often that anyone ties with the winner but does not get to see his name amongst the leading scores.

But that was the case in the mid-week Stableford as no less than 6 people tied on 36 points and the result had to be decided on countback.

Mike Courtney’s front 15, back 21 made him the winner; Albert Walley was the unlucky person not to feature in the leading scores.

And results were very tight in the weekend medals too, particularly on Sunday in Division 2, when a countback was needed to split four players who each scored 37 points.
