Choose the Pencraig Court Hotel for golf accommodation in Herefordshire - 15th Aug 2004

Welcome to the Pencraig Court...

A fine Georgian house set in three-and-a-half acres of gardens, lawns and secluded woodlands overlooking the River Wye, with unforgettable views across the valley to the Royal Forest of Dean and the distant hills

Built in 1780, Pencraig Court was occupied by the Rev. W. Holt-Beever. In 1876 it became the home of Sir Humphrey de Trafford, whose family stayed in residence until the 1950s.

Today it is a Country House Hotel of character and elegance, as well as home to Liz and Malcolm Dobson the present proprietors, their daughter Katie and their friends Shirley and Peter Jelliss.

This fine Georgian house has been tastefully furnished to suit its era. There are many treasured pieces such as the Baby Grand Piano and the magnificent circular oak table in the dining room, which can seat up to fourteen people.
