GOULD BACK ON TOP - 21st Jun 2004
Zac Gould from the Vale of Glamorgan has moved back to the top of the Welsh Golfing Union Junior Order of Merit after finishing in a tie for 18th place at the Welsh Open Stroke Play at Royal Porthcawl over the weekend.
Gould was the only Welsh junior to make the cut at Royal Porthcawl and collects 50 Order of Merit points giving him a slender lead over Llanymynech’s Mark Trow. Gould scores of 75, 77, 73 and 78 were consistent in a strong wind that blew off the sea for the majority of the weekend.
The next event is the Tucker Trophy at the Newport and Whitchurch Golf Clubs on 10/11 July 2004.
