WILLIAMS 4th AT BRABAZON - 18th May 2005
James Williams (Pontypridd) produced one of the rounds of the year on his way to 4th place at the Brabazon Trophy and collects 97.5 Konica Minolta points that takes him to the top of the Order of Merit.
Williams’ second round of 66 at the Oxfordshire is a new course record that was achieved in near gale force winds. Tim Dykes continued his excellent form, closing with two 69’s to finish on level par in 9th place collecting 47.5 Konica Minolta points.
The other Welshmen who made the cut were Gareth Wright (T21st), Nigel Edwards (T29th), Ben Westgate (T31st) and Richard Hooper (T44th) who came through the tough qualifying process.
The next Konica Minolta Order of Merit event is the St Andrews Links Trophy at the Old Jubilee Course, St Andrews, 20-22nd May 2005.
