Suspension of Tullamore Golf Club lifted - 11th Oct 2005

Following a Special General Meeting of the Central Council at which the
Leinster Provincial Council reported its findings arising from its
investigation into breaches of the Rules of Amateur Status, as approved by
R&A Rules Ltd., and the Constitution of the Golfing Union of Ireland,
Central Council has agreed not to extend the suspension of Tullamore Golf
Club beyond the minimum period of one month.

Central Council considered the report of the Leinster Provincial Council
which arose due to the value of the Tullamore Captain’s Prize exceeding the
limit as specified in the Rules of Amateur Status, and accepted the
assurances from Tullamore that systems are now in place in the club to
prevent any possibility of a recurrence.

Central Council confirmed that the suspension imposed on Tuesday, 6th
September 2005 will be lifted from midnight on Monday, 10th October 2005.
