David Short Golf Schools
Your golf swing is as individual as your fingerprint.
We recognise the top players instantly by their swings, just as we do our friends at the local club. Consistency, however is built on sound foundations. The trick is to learn how to instil these basic principles in all departments of your game, then learn about your game and yourself.
While there will always be a place for the usual half hour lessons, my Golf Schools give you time to understand, time to practice and develop a feel, and time to put into practice on the course. Above all, limited numbers ensure I have time for you.
The School
The Golf Schools are for long term improvement not just short term gain.
You will learn the David Short keys for continuing improvement to all parts of your game. You will learn how to practice them effectively to suit your ability and aspirations. You will take away simple routines that will lead to improvement and consistency.
There is much more to playing golf than technique alone. Two vital ingredients, feel and rhythm, will be explained and developed as part of your technique.
And all this has to be taken on to the golf course. There will be ample time to make sure you understand how to develop your on-course strategy, to help you play your best golf- consistently.
David Short says, Golf should be a continual learning process. I try to get people to understand that by developing and honing a few basic principles theyll get a good feel and rhythm for all parts of the game. Then they will play to the best of their ability. There are no short cuts, secrets or quick fixes to transform their game. Keep it simple, learn how to practice effectively, how to take it on to the course and dont try to play beyond your current ability
Therein lies his success. Simple explanation, sound teaching and moving each person along at their pace, within the expectations and ability. Each person leaves a David Short Golf School with a clear understanding of what is needed for lasting improvement.
Each School consists of
*Group clinics on all parts of the game
*Video analysis with swing print outs or tapes to take home#
*Course notes and information sheets
*On course guidance and course management
*Impartial equipment advice
*Discussions on rules and etiquette
*Limited numbers ensure personal attention
Each Venue has
*Covered practice facilities
*Short game areas
*Unlimited practice balls and green fees included ( beginners may have some playing restrictions)
Evenings are often a time to discuss the days events- many a good lesson has been given over a relaxing drink. UK schools include half board hotel accommodation. Overseas, David invites those people, who wish, to join for dinner at a local restaurants. Non- residential places are available.
Golf Schools are great social occasions too. There is usually a fairly equal mix of couples and individual ladies and men attending the courses. David believes relaxing together in a social atmosphere increases the individuals capacity and confidence to learn and adds to the enjoyment of the school.
