Bovey Castle

Set in the heart of the 368 square miles of the Dartmoor National Park, in southern England, after its full restoration Bovey Castle opened in April 2004 as a private and luxurious destination, second to none.

This is the latest in Peter de Savarys creations after his success stories with the St James Clubs In London, Paris, Antigua, New York and Los Angeles, Cherokee Plantation in South Carolina, Carnegie Abbey in Rhode Island and The Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle in Scotland.

Set amid wild and beautiful countryside overlooking the River Bovey, the Castle was built in 1906 for Viscount Hambledon, First Sea Lord of the Admiralty and son of the business baron, W.H. Smith.
