The Queens Head in Rothbury is a traditional old fashioned Inn in the heart of the beautiful Coquet Valley.

The Hotel is centrally placed in the village and within one minute's walk of the river. Guests have full use of the two dining rooms, bar lounge and games room.

We offer a choice of three freshly roasted joints, Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings, and if you still have room, homemade bread and butter pudding made with cream and eggs is the perfect end to a perfect lunch.

RESTAURANT:

The comfortable and relaxed atmosphere of the ground floor "armstrong" restaurant is the ideal place to dine, light and airy during the day, warm, cozy and candlelit in the evening.

We offer a comprehensive wine list to complement the food and friendly helpful staff to make you feel right at home. Breakfasts are served in the 1st floor dining room for guests only.

BAR:

If you prefer you can eat in the bar.. a warm and friendly atmosphere and well kept ales await you in this very popular beamed room. Next door (but far enough away so you cant hear it) you will find the games room with two pool tables and juke box.

FUNCTIONS:

The queens head is the ideal venue for functions, we can accommodate parties of up to 80 for a buffet or up to 60 seated.

We also cater for smaller parties for birthdays, wedding anniversaries, christenings, retirements etc.

Seminars, business lunches and high teas can also be arranged.

The Queens Head hosts a very popular music evening once a month ("Rothbury Roots") with local artists and visiting musicians comint to play a diverse mixture of styles including, Bluegrass, blues, folk and country acoustic music.

The more traditional Northumbrian pipes and piano accordians are also very popular.
