Pease Bay Holiday Home Park
Pease Bay is beautifully situated in a secluded hollow in between gently sloping hillsides.
All our caravans are scattered around the bay itself with commanding views over a large, sandy beach and the sea.
It's not only the fish that enjoy the coastal waters of this beautiful part of Scotland either. Kids will love exploring the rock pools, there's swimming in the sea and for the really adventurous surfing too.
Away from the beach (if you can drag yourself away) you'll discover this part of the world is a gold mine for scenic runs and places to visit.
THE SCOTTISH TOURIST BOARD 5 STAR AWARD:
Pease Bay has the Five Star award from the Scottish Tourist Board, it also has numerous other awards that the holiday home park has been awarded over the years.
HOW TO FIND US:
Travel 9 miles south of Dunbar or 22 miles north of Berwick Upon Tweed turn off at Cockburnspath roundabout Cockburnspath and you'll find Pease Bay.
As far as stunning locations go, Pease Bay is particularly, A1. Not that you'd ever know we're right next to excellent road links however. Enter through the meandering country road and life in the fast lane is left well and truly behind.
PARK FACILITIES:
On site facilities also include a well stocked & licensed shop with all the daily papers, public phones, laundry room, children's play area. In fact there's not much we don't provide, including the kitchen sink!
For instance, our new club includes great food and finest local ales. There's a large bar with a full and varied menu, as well as a takeaway facility, and there's even a games room for all the family including a snooker room.
For future events please check out the notice board while on site, this can be found in the foyer of the bar.
All the caravans we have for hire will sleep 4-6 people in comfort. As you would expect all have electricity, hot and cold water, colour TV, fridge, toilet and shower. The newly built function hall is now open where we will have entertainment on a weekly basis. Which includes he likes of our family bingo, disco and adult cabaret Show.
Although many of our holiday residents are new, we already think of them as old friends. Perhaps it is the relaxed holiday atmosphere or the brand new facilities that make our guests feel so much at home here.
PLACES TO VISIT:
Dunbar boasts swimming facilities and has a multi-leisure complex with the very latest in 'flume' excitement. As if this wasn't enough to keep you busy there are nearby towns with superb golf courses such as Haddington, North Berwick, Gullane and Dunbar to name just a few.
We have some of the best country walks and hiking routes by miles, like the southern Upland Way and siccar point. There are many castles to visit in the surrounding areas such as Tantallon and Edinburgh.
North Berwick - North Berwick is a picturesque town situated on the shores of the Firth of Forth and is perfectly placed to explore the links golf courses, stop in at the Sea Bird center and stroll along the beach or scramble around the rocks.
Adjacent to the West Links golf course are first class Hotels and family run Bed and Breakfast establishments. Enjoy the excellent shopping centre, indoor swimming pool, sports centre, museum and many other attractions.
Visit the Scottish Seabird Centre where you can see live pictures of the seabirds through remote controlled cameras on Fidra and the famous Bass Rock, the third largest Gannetry in the world. Visit the 14th century Tantallon Castle, Scottish Museum of Flight or enjoy a leisurely sail round the bays and islands.
Berwick Upon Tweed - Take a walk around Berwick's Elizabethan Fortifications that encircle the town and are the best preserved in Europe. Drop in on the Barracks Museum Complex and you will begin to gain an understanding of the nature of Border life through Berwick's history.
It is a history of conflict and endless bloodletting. Berwick's vulnerable location in the Borders region made it a prime target in the endless skirmishes between the English and the Scots and as a result the town has changed hands at least 13 times over a period of 300 years.
Nationalistic squabbles were not the only problems facing the region in centuries past. The marauding Border Reivers, together with cattle thieves who would happily slit your throat to get what they wanted, made day-to-day life 'interesting' to say the least.
The town itself bears witness to this violent past with the UK's first purpose built Barracks and well preserved Elizabethan fortifications. Further afield in the Borough, you can relive the lawless days at any one of seven great fortress attractions and eight historic houses and gardens.
