University of St Andrews

We have nine different residences situated throughout St Andrews.

Some are old stone buildings in the centre of the town.

The more recent ones are half a mile to the west, close to the golf courses or the sports centre.

Each has its own dining room, a lounge and other meeting rooms and is run by its own management team.

SUPERIOR BEDROOMS

Superior bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom with shower.

There are nearly 500 superior bedrooms in New Hall. Most have one large, double size, bed and can accommodate one or two guests.

There are also 36 superior single bedrooms in John Burnet Hall.

STANDARD BEDROOMS

Standard bedrooms all have wash-hand basins (except some rooms in University Hall) and share other bathroom facilities.

We have both single and twin standard bedrooms. We have upgraded the bathrooms in many of our residences and are continuing to do so.

The average is one bathroom to six guests. Standard bedrooms are available in Andrew Melville, John Burnet, McIntosh, St Regulus, St Salvators and University Halls.

DINING

All our residences serve breakfast and can provide lunch and dinner if ordered by conference and group organisers.

We offer a self-service style to maximise guest choice. Our menus change daily.
