High Range

The High Range holiday complex has been under the personal supervision of the Vastano family for the past 27 years, where the standards and style have been influenced by continuity and continental flair.

Our guests enjoy the seclusion and privacy of the complex woodland, but are only a five minute walk from the village shopping centre.

At the High Range you will find a selection of holiday facilities, all located on the one site.

LOCATION:

The complex is situated in it's own birch woodland park at the south end of Aviemore on the B9152 road directly opposite the Coylumbridge B970 road leading to Loch Morlich and the ski slopes, and commands a splendid view of the ancient Caledonian Forest of Rothiemurchus, the Queen's Forest, the Lairig Ghru Pass and most prominent of all, the peaks and ski runs of the Cairngorm's.

Groceries and provisions can be purchased from the shopping centre 5 minutes walk from the High Range. The bus service, railway station, bank and post office are also in this area.

SELF-CATERING CHALETS:

The ideal choice for families

Built with an alpine flair and set among the Birch trees and heather clad grounds of the High Range, Each chalet is completely self-contained.

The accommodation is spacious and furnished to a high standard, including microwave, TV, video, hair dryer, iron and board etc. They provide all that is necessary for your comfort. All linen is provided free of charge, electricity is charged on a £1 coin or a card meter, cards available from reception. Ample parking space near chalets.

Groceries and provisions can be purchased from the village shopping centre 5 minutes walk from the High Range. The bus service, railway station, bank and post office are also in this area.

Also within the premises there is a launderette and a large playground for the children's enjoyment.

CARAVANS & CAMPING:

Located at the foot of Craigellachie Nature reserve, the park blends naturally among the silver birch trees and heather-clad grounds of the High Range.

The new service block has been designed to a very high standard of services, providing all that is necessary for your comfort and well being, including individual changing and shower rooms, ample wash areas with hairdryer and electric shave points, a fully equipped launderette with ironing facilities and a sink to hand wash clothing, also a separate room for dish washing and vegetable preparation.

The power bollards are operated with cards (available from reception) allowing hook up and the option to choose how much electricity you wish to use. The bollards also include free television aerial points.

Groceries and provisions can be purchased from the shopping centre, 5 mins walk from the High Range. The supermarket, post office and bank are all in this area.

Please note: The service block has been fitted with a 24 hour surveillance and monitoring system, both internally and externally.

MOTEL:

Ideal for a family or friends to share. Good value for money.

Sleeping accommodation is in chalets of Canadian Cedar set among the birch trees and heather clad grounds of the High Range. All rooms have private toilet/shower-room, they are available as twin or double and in addition they have a separate bedroom containing full-size built in bunk beds.

Comfortable, heated and double glazed, mostly with natural pine as a main feature. Each unit provides the basic necessities, including colour TV and tea making facilities.

LA TAVERNA RISTORANTE:

Recently extended and refurbished, the continental theme is echoed by the delightful alpine style oil painted illustrations, by Ann Vastano, which decorate the wooden beams and pillars of the Ristorante, Pizzeria and Bar. La Taverna has been under the personal supervision of the Vastano family for the past 27 years where standards and style have been influenced by continuity and continental flair.

The Bar is a popular meeting place where you can party or relax in a friendly and informal atmosphere and enjoy our range of Italian and British beer, spirits and Italian wines and liqueurs.

The Ristorante & Pizzeria is typically continental where in a truly Italian atmosphere you can party with your friends or family over a plate of pasta and a glass of vino, or sample a truly Neapolitan pizza and a Peroni beer. You can also enjoy a romantic candlelit evening, complimented by genuine Italian cuisine prepared to perfection by Chef/Proprietor Antonio Vastano and his kitchen team.

We have a separate party room which can accommodate up to 28 people. Perfect for your Stag, Hen or Birthday party. We can offer special overnight rates for our Motel accommodation.
