Glenlivet House

Enjoying the magnificent views over the Banffshire countryside, Glenlivet house is a typically large Scottish country house of the late nineteenth century, modernised to meet the needs of today.

It is let as a private house to one party only at any one time, either on a full-board or self-catering basis. Normally lettings are for a week's duration, but shorter or longer bookings can be accepted.

Accommodation & Facilities:

The principal rooms include a large fully equipped bar, a hall cum drawing room, a sitting room, dining room, cloakrooms and drying room.

The kitchen has just been fully restyled for the benefit of self-catering parties. In the bar there is a tape/CD system and guests are encouraged to bring their own tapes/CDs for their enjoyment.

If parties do not wish to bring their own wines and spirits with them they can obtain them here on a sale or return basis. Parties are responsible for running their own bar.

Upstairs there is accommodation for 22 people in 10 double/twin rooms and 2 singles. 10 of these rooms have their own en-suite facilities and the other two each have a private bathroom.

The house is fully central heated, and there are open fires in the hall and the bar.

The house is furnished to a high standard including many family heirlooms and we hope that you will care for everything in the house as you would for your own valued posessions.

Staff:

Cleaning staff are employed whether the house has been taken on a full-board or self-catering basis. For fully catered parties, excellent cooks are employed who concentrate on producing local fare to the highest of standards.
