Auld Post Hotel
Elegant accommodation at affordable prices.
Built in 1903 to house Fifes Main Post Office, the building on the corner of Hunter Street has been a Kirkcaldy landmark for the whole of the twentieth century. Converted to a hotel in 1996 this protected building retains many original features whilst introducing modern comforts.
Located two minutes walk from the High Street and opposite the bus and train stations, the hotel is ideal for the tourist and business person alike. With the hotel car park at the rear, The Auld Post Hotel is the most central and conveniently located hotel in Kirkcaldy.
At the Auld Post we have ten elegant bedrooms, eight of which are en-suite. All the bedrooms, which have recently been renovated, are tastefully appointed and carefully serviced to ensure every guest enjoys a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Our executive suite, which is named after the last postmaster to serve in this building, is situated at the front of the hotel and has retained all the features of a listed building. Accompanied by a four poster bed and a large Jacuzzi this truly is a charming room to stay in.
Like all our rooms it contains tea/coffee making facilities and a colour television.
KITTY'S:
Kitty McGuinty's Bar is famous for the quality & variety of our live music. The next time you're out & about in Kirkcaldy, why not call in to Kitty's for a pint of the black stuff (or the amber stuff) & some great craic. It really is the only place to be!
If live music is what you are after then Kitty McGuintys Irish themed bar is what you require. Over the last four years Kittys, adjoining the Auld Post Hotel, has been famed for its party atmosphere, friendly staff and, of course, the quality and variety of our live music every weekend. Check out upcoming dates on the adjoining pages. For live music and entertainment in Fife, Kittys is the place to be.
THUNDER ROAD:
Thunder Road Bar & Diner is the latest addition to the Auld Post Hotel. This American theme bar serves up American style food with American sized portions. Enjoy our extensive menu with everything from Lousiana Pork Ribs to our very own Thunder Burgers.
With our wide screen Televisions and Harley Davidson on display our unique surroundings create an atmosphere that is enjoyable for everyone.
GOLF:
The Kingdom of Fife has a large selecion of Golf Courses, Below and to the side are some examples of the fine courses within the Kingdom.
