With a long career in the Hotel and food industry, buying The Crown Hotel, is the realisation of a dream that Roger & Elizabeth Bushnell have shared since 1988 -

finding “the right Hotel” in Scotland.
Roger & Elizabeth plan to ensure that The Crown continues to provide the very best in modern comforts, whilst allowing guests to enjoy the attractions and benefits of a traditional Hotel, a principle so well established by the McCall family since 1966.

The Hotel is located in the heart of Castle Douglas, in an area steeped in attractions for both the adventurous and those seeking the quieter side of life, and the central position within the town makes the Hotel an ideal base for any one visiting the area, whether on business or for pleasure.

THE HOTEL:

The hotel is open all year round and to ensure guests comfort, the bedrooms have been double glazed and centrally heated. All of these rooms have been tastefully refurbished and offer en-suite facilities, colour television, hair dryers, tea/coffee makers and other little extras to make your stay most enjoyable.

Guests have the choice of dining in our coffee shop or bar and can select from an extensive menu. This menu caters for all tastes and combines the best of local produce with traditional home cooking.

Our bar has a warm and inviting atmosphere with staff and locals always ready to greet guests and make them feel more readily at home.
