Woodlands Country House is a lovely Victorian house, now an attractive 7 bedroomed hotel set in a glorious rural setting and perfectly placed to ensure a wonderful holiday.

Ireby nestles in the peaceful fells of the northern Lake District, in the beautiful area to the north of Keswick known as 'Back of Skiddaw'.

For many "Getting away from it all" means nose to tail traffic! But not so in Ireby and the Northern Fells.

Set in the very edge of the Lake District National Park you will just love the peacefulness, little traffic, relaxing driving and beautiful countryside far from the maddening crowds!

It is the perfect base from which to visit the Lakes, explore the Solway coast, visit Hadrian's Wall or take a trip across the border to Dumfries and Galloway.

We can offer delicious food, most attractive wines and very comfortable accommodation plus an atmosphere second to none.

We recognise that be it a pair of golfers or a large group the itinerary may vary, some wishing to play certain courses more than once, for instance.

As a consequence we feel it is better to give a fairly accurate guide to prices since green fees vary from course to course (although not by too much).

Transport costs, if required, can be sought should you wish it.
