Scottish Castles & Distilleries Touring the Highlands of Scotland.

With our Scottish Tourist Board grading of 3 Stars, King of Clubs is a quiet, family-run Bed & Breakfast where we ensure the warmest of Highland welcomes.

We have 15 years experience in the B&B business and offer guests excellent facilities and value for money in a lovely countryside location. Many of our guests return year after year.

The house has been recently extended and refurbished to a very high standard.

We have 3 spacious triple rooms (which can be used as double, twin or family rooms) and 1 large double room.

All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, plus colour TV, tea & coffee making facilities.

A full Scottish breakfast is served every morning in the dining room where you can enjoy our soothing aquarium.

We will be happy to advise on local restaurants & pubs for eating out at lunchtime or for evening meals.

There are plenty of excellent eateries in and around Inverness and surrounding areas.

We are situated 5 miles outside the town of Inverness, on Culloden Moor just over half a mile from Culloden Battlefield where Bonnie Prince was defeated in 1746.

Our location is convenient for Inverness Airport which is 10 minutes away by car.

Also nearby are the Clava Cairns and standing stones. Now in the care of Historic Scotland, this unusual grouping of prehistoric monuments is set amongst the trees in a quite magical location.

We are situated just 5 miles from Cawdor Castle, made famous by Shakespeare's Macbeth. See the minstrel's gallery, find the hidden trap-door and discover the tales of the dungeons! Walk around the walled gardens and enjoy the woodland trails.

Nearby Brodie Castle is also open to the public during the summer and its delightful grounds are worth a wander at any time of year.

Inverness is an ideal base where you can explore the north of Scotland which has something for everyone.

Take a drive along the coast to the seaside resort of Nairn, visit the historic abbey at Elgin, see the New Age community at Findhorn or tour the local distilleries.

Drive across country to the west coast where you can see the magical Isle of Skye - don't forget to stop at Eilean Donan Castle and the pretty village of Plockton on the mainland. Or take the north-west route to Ullapool so you can explore the rugged scenery of Wester Ross and Sutherland.

Head further north for a day trip to fairytale Dunrobin Castle or continue to John o'Groats for the ferry over to the unique Orkney islands where discoveries are still being made of ancient remains older than the Egyptian pyramids.

Just south of Inverness is the famous Loch Ness - take a coach tour, cruise on a boat trip, hire a bike or hike along the Great Glen Way. Be sure to take the kids to Drumnadrochit to see the Monster and let them run around the
ramparts of Urquhart Castle.

A little further south you can enjoy the Cairngorm mountain range and the many watersports activities on the local lochs or go mountain biking in the forests.

There are lots of opportunities for outdoor pursuits throughout the Highlands including golf (see below), fishing, shooting, horse riding, bowling, hill walking, archery and many more, too numerous to mention.
