Ardoe House Hotel
The baronial splendour of Ardoe House, hidden away among thirty acres of rolling Aberdeenshire countryside, bears a distinctly familiar grace. Inspired by the royal residence at Balmoral Castle. A few miles upstream, Ardoe House is a luxurious modern hotel, beautifully crafted from an imposing 19th century mansion house.
Built without modernisation, Ardoe House is a brilliant marriage of Victorian opulence and contemporary elegance. Intricately carved staircases, enormous fireplaces and rich wood panelling are the hallmarks of an hotel which offers the tired traveller and the busy business guest a tranquil retreat from the pressures of the world outside.
Peace, quiet and tranquillity; Ardoe House is a world of relaxation in itself. Yet, surprisingly, such serenity lies only three miles from the centre of the vibrant city of Aberdeen. There you can enjoy a wonderful day’s shopping and leisure, perhaps rounded off with a visit to one of the city’s theatres, concert halls or cinemas.
Of course, when you stay at Ardoe House, you’re right in the heart of Royal Deeside, home of flowing rivers, lush forests and gently rolling hills. And, giving the area its regal connection, Balmoral Castle is an easy drive from the hotel.
Wander further afield and you enter the Malt Whisky Trail, a journey that winds along 70 miles of glorious Speyside scenery you can visit a number of historic distilleries to see just how the world’s favourite tipple is made. Town and country, river and sea, hill and valley. Has there ever been a hotel with such a richly complete location as Ardoe House?
