Crailing Old School
Feel The Glow...
Feel the glow of the Scottish Borders and experience hospitality that you will always remember, here at Crailing Old School. Now converted to a charming private house and gardens, though retaining its original character, the building is a fine example of late nineteenth century architecture.
It is peacefully situated close to the River Teviot, with panoramic views, just off the A698 which links the historic towns of Jedburgh and Kelso. Excellent base for golfers, especially those wanting to combine playing some of the 22 challenging courses of the Borders with Tuition, Swing Analysis, and Club Fitting from our resident Golf Pro./Club Maker. Ask about the Freedom Of The Fairways Passport!
Right on route for St Cuthbert's Way, walkers find here a haven to relax after the rigours of the day. If those tired feet can't manage the last few miles, a "pick-up" service can be arranged back to Crailing.
Playing Golf...
Our resident Golf Pro./ Club Fitter, Ray, is available by arrangement, for Tuition (35 years experience) Swing Analysis, using the latest American technology, and Club Fitting, He will always be happy to advise on your equipment, book your tee times and direct you to the local courses which will suit your ability and requirements.
The Courses
The Championship Roxburghe Course is just five miles from Crailing and there are many other challenging nine and eighteen hole courses just a short car drive away. The Borders "Freedom Of The Fairways Passport" for use over either a three, or five day period (week days), can be purchased from the Scottish Borders Tourist Board, and will greatly reduce the cost of your green fees. Mounthooly Golf Driving Range, is very close at hand for some serious practice between rounds!
