The Royal Marine Hotel and Leisure Club

The Royal Marine Hotel (pictured opposite) was designed as a private home for a northern industrialist in 1913 by renowned Scottish architect Sir Robert Lorimer, who was also commissioned by the Duke of Sutherland to restore Dunrobin Castle, which had been ravaged by fire in 1915.

The ambience of The Royal Marine Hotel owes everything to Sir Robert Lorimer: The wooden arches of the entrance hall; the formal dining room; the panelled snooker room, and the grand staircase all contribute to an atmosphere of quiet elegance.

The hotel has it's own Indoor Swimming Pool and Leisure club with Sauna and Steam Rooms, Solarium, Jacuzzi, Gymnasium, Snooker Table and during the winter months a 4 lane curling rink (November - March).

There are also a number of 4 star self catering apartments and holiday cottages available to let and these also enjoy use of the hotel's leisure facilities
