Hotel Ard na Sidhe was acquired by Killarney Hotels Ltd in 1960. This Victorian Manor was built by Lady Gordon, a lady of titled Irish lineage, in 1913.

It is nestled on the slopes of Lake Caragh, Killorglin, Co. Kerry surrounded by mountains and fits harmoniously into the landscape in an aura of browns and purple hue.

The title Ard na Sidhe is Gaelic, translated, means " The Hill of the Fairies". This fairy hill is at the rear of the house with passages leading to a large cave. To interfere with this fairy forth is thought to bring the wrath of the mythical inhabitants of Ireland?

Killarney Hotels Ltd have created an ambience of graceful elegance combined with the luxury of modern comforts while maintaining an old world enchantment with its collection of antique furnishing and paintings. There are eighteen bedrooms, ten in the main house and eight in the Garden House.

Truly a golfers paradise, Hotel Ard na Sidhe is situated close to Dooks, Ring of Kerry, Killorglin, Killeen, Mahony's Point and Lackabane. Ballybunion, Tralee and Waterville Golf Courses are within easy driving distance.

On your return from the Golf Course you will be welcomed to open peat fires to enjoy a "hot toddy", while you anticipate the delights of fine cuisine.
