Juliot's Well Holiday Park
Juliot's Well Holiday Park
...... where you're more than welcome!
Juliot's Well is more than just a holiday park, it is also the home of Phil and Kim Boundy, the resident owners. You may therefore rest assured that a warm welcome awaits you from all of the family, our staff.
Set in beautiful woodland with extensive views across some of the finest Cornish countryside the holiday park is ideally located in an area of outstanding natural landscape.
Relaxation is the keynote
The Well itself, dating from mediaeval times, was a welcome resting place for pilgrims and is still noted for its holy waters.
Travellers from bygone days recognised that the feeling of calm gained from resting in these quiet surroundings could be very beneficial... and today's visitors have discovered this too!
You'll enjoy the totally relaxed and informal freedom of the 33 rolling acres of sheltered parkland and shady woods with an intimate mix of meadows, hedgerows and wet grassland - the latter containing unusual species of wild flowers, grasses and wildlife.
At the boundary edge runs a clear stream together with two wildlife ponds, and unobtrusive picnic areas are scattered around the park ensuring a quiet spot can always be found.
There's a high degree of comfort
Our mobile homes are located in a selected eight-acre part of the park and sited on split levels in areas surrounded by mature trees.
Those who are unfamiliar with modern caravan holidays will be pleasantly surprised at the high standards of comfort on offer. All units have private shower and toilet, are provided with free gas and electricity, and there's colour television and a fridge - plus we offer de luxe two-bedroom cottages, new in 2006 Azellia pine lodges and new for 2008 Jasmine pine lodges and Camellia pine lodges.
Visiting tourers and campers will also find that our new shower and toilet facilities for 2008 are to a very high standard, and have the added benefit of de-luxe private bathrooms available.
This highly rated family-run holiday park provides a very relaxing and informal retreat. It is only three miles from the nearest beach, yet also makes an ideal touring base for the whole of the county.
There's plenty to see and do nearby
The immediate area has many attractions for the holiday visitor. Trebarwith, about four miles away has a good, sandy beach set in delightful coves. A little further along the coast is Tintagel, the legendary site of King Arthur's Castle, and a few miles on is the historic town of Boscastle where you will find a pottery, the hauntingly beautiful Crystal Caves and the fascinating Witches Museum.
In the other direction is the picturesque harbour village of Port Isaac (perhaps better known as Port Wenn where Doc Martins is filmed), which has a good choice of pubs and restaurants as well as the enchanting Victorian gardens at Long Cross.
Inland is Brown Willy, the highest point in the county, which boasts stunning views on fine days, whilst no visit to Bodmin Moor is complete without seeing Jamaica Inn (made famous by Daphne du Maurier) and its museum.
Quite near to Juliot's Well is the Trethorne Leisure Farm at Launceston and the Crealy Adventure Park at Wadebridge.
Our holiday park reception can provide a 'welcome pack' including a list of recommended attractions in the county and we have a wide range of tourist literature available covering all activities in Cornwall.
Camelford is the nearest town (one mile away), and provides essential services such as banks, etc.
Juliot's Well is a very family friendly holiday park. Plus, certain breeds of dog are more than welcome in some of our units.
Campers are welcome from the start of the season to the end of it. Long stay tourers are also most welcome.
The cottages, lodges and caravans are open all year round.
The Well itself, dating from mediaeval times, was a welcome resting place for pilgrims and is still noted for its holy waters.
