The Fort Lodge Hotel

The Fort Lodge Hotel Margate, Kent overlooks the Winter Gardens and the lovely sandy beaches that surround Margate and Cliftonville on the Isle of Thanet Kent coastline.

Margates beach however, is still an impressive stretch of golden sand with donkey rides, a bouncy castle and boating pool, making this a very popular place for families with young children. Away from the water both the Old Town and the Market Place are worth a look whilst the town centre has all the shops, pubs and restaurants you would expect. Equally by night Margate certainly knows how to enjoy itself with plenty of theatres, bars and nightclubs to choose from.

The hotel caters for Stag & Hen Weekends

Weddings:

There are 2 Rooms within the Hotel licensed to perform civil weddings.

The Hotel has been part of a family business since 1982. We have, over the years, tried to engender a spirit of friendliness and comfort. Together with our trained staff, we endeavor to pass this atmosphere on to our customers.

The Fort Lodge Hotel is housed in one of Thanet's premier buildings, dating back to the 19th century. Although not purpose built as an hotel, the Hotel now comprises 56 bedrooms with en suite facilities in every room, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Ideal for bowlers/dancers. The Hotel is close to shops and beaches, and fabulous sea views.

Our excellent reputation has been built on good home cooking, a high standard of cleanliness, good service and friendly, personal attention. The dining room is well-known for its excellent food.
