With open fires and a friendly, family atmosphere, the Bowmore House is open all year round and centrally positioned on the island making an ideal base from which to explore Islay.

Just outside the centre of the principal town of Bowmore, the Bowmore House Bed & Breakfast is conveniently situated close to the towns attractions, shops and the Bowmore distillery.

Islay offers its visitors a rich and varied environment in which to spend their time, doing as much or as little as they desire.

The Machrie Links golf course, situated about 5 miles from the Hotel, and consists of a main course of just less than 6250 yards, and a free Par 3 six-hole course.

Running alongside Laggan Bay, the course is not only breathtaking, but can be quite a challenge too.
