Craighead Farmhouse
Craighead Farmhouse and adjacent cottage are both traditional stone built houses dating back to the 1800's and are set in a beautiful and prominent position overlooking the Balcomie Links and Craighead Links golf course.
They are situated on the 18th tee on the Craighead course and 200yards from the 1st tee on the Balcomie course. You can enjoy the most spectacular sea views over the Firth of Forth and Tay estuary, looking out over to the cliff tops with a sandy bay and beach beneath.
Fife is a haven for golfers with 45 golf courses, you have the 7th oldest course in the world at the doorstep and you are only 9 miles from St Andrews, the Home of Golf, making this the ideal base for any golfing holiday.
If golf is not for you, then there is plenty of other attractions in the area. Bird enthusiasts can take a short boat trip out the Isle of May, where you will find a nature reserve where puffins, crags, and many more sea birds can be found. Seals are seen regularly lying on the rocks around the island and if you are lucky you may even spot dolphins or whales.
The East Neuk and surrounding area provides many hidden surprises for visitors, with it's numerous sandy beaches and rock pools that will have children entertained for hours, historical churches and buildings, quaint wynds to meander down and harbours with working fishing boats, there is something which will appeal to everyone.
