The much talked about return of Tiger Woods could be for real this time. After winning his first tournament in two years last month, Woods goes into the final round of the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship with a chance of making it two victories in a row. He shot a 6-under 66 in Saturday's third round to grab a share of the lead and serve notice he has ironed out his swing and overcome injury woes.

Phil Mickelson doesn't lack faith in his game. He just doesn't have an explanation for a shoddy start to his season. One week after he had to rally to make the cut in his 2012 debut at the Humana Challenge, he didn't come close to making the cut at Torrey Pines, getting the weekend off at his hometown event for the first time in 10 years.

Kyle Stanley overcame a double bogey early in Friday's round by running off four birdies on the front nine for a 4-under 68, giving him a one-shot lead in the Farmers Insurance Open going into the weekend. Brandt Snedeker, who first gained fame as a rookie at Torrey Pines when he shot 61 on the North Course, had a 64 on the North again to make a swift climb up to second.
